In the current context of uncertainty and to allow you to book your vacation with peace of mind, we have put in place a selection of houses with a 100% refund in case of cancellation. We invite you to contact our team for a complete list.
What flexible conditions has The Selective Traveler put in place in response to the health crisis?
The Selective Traveler has changed its terms and conditions, and has put in place additional and more flexible terms and conditions that allow our clients to modify their reservations in certain situations, unless they choose otherwise. These conditions are valid on all our houses, for a cancellation made at least 48 hours before check-in, and except exception mentioned at the time of the reservation.
1. Postponement of the stay to the next season under the same conditions and at no additional cost to the Client, subject to the availability of the Property. The new dates of the stay must be agreed upon within one month of the Client's notification requesting the application of these Additional Conditions.
2. If the Property is not available, Client may receive:
a. A non-refundable credit note for the total amount already paid, covering all the properties in The Selective Traveler's portfolio for any new stay of the same duration and amount by the Client within a maximum of twelve months from the first day of the initial stay
3. In case of cancellation by the Client following a postponement :
a. A non-refundable credit note for the total amount already paid, covering all of the goods in The Selective Traveler's portfolio for any new stay of the same duration and amount by the Client within a maximum of twelve months from the first day of the initial stay
Immediate refund of the total amount already paid minus 30%.
When do these flexible conditions apply?
These additional conditions related to COVID-19 apply in the event that one of the following situations occurs:
1. General inability to travel, for the following reasons, directly related to the COVID 19 epidemic, and not allowing the Client to access the Property:
a. General travel or border crossing restrictions imposed by the Government of the country of the Client's habitual residence, prohibiting the Client from traveling to the country or area in which the Property is located and/or restricting travel to that which is strictly necessary.
b. Prohibition on Client's access to the Property as a result of a general decision of the Government of the country in which the Property is located.
Do these flexible conditions apply if my flight is cancelled?
No. The additional cancellation terms apply only in the event that the flight is cancelled due to government restrictions. (e.g. suspension of air travel between countries).
Will I be reimbursed if I test positive for COVID-19 before my departure?
The Selective Traveler does not guarantee a refund if you test positive for COVID-19. However, you may be eligible for additional cancellation benefits if you purchase travel insurance.
Am I reimbursed if I am a "contact case"?
The Selective Traveler does not commit to reimbursing a person who is a "contact case".
Am I reimbursed if a quarantine is imposed upon my return or arrival?
The implementation of medical surveillance, quarantine or equivalent public health measures is not considered an impediment to travel.
